Interpersonal Communication Questions Interpersonal Communication Topics

Robert asks…

Please help me understand what it is I am supposed to write about.?

The paper should demonstrate the application of a real-life experience or future scenario by first choosing a communication topic of interest, then addressing your topic with at least three (3) of the learning outcomes from this class.

For example, you may wish to focus on interpersonal relationships, communicating at work, or an application of the basic principles of the communication process such as perception, listening, or verbal/nonverbal communication. The topic you choose must then be supported by a discussion of at least three of the following learning outcomes:

1.Explain the principles and misconceptions in effective interpersonal communications.
2.Identify the barriers to effective interpersonal interactions.
3.Describe the process by which self-concept is developed and maintained.
4.Assess their personal communications and improve their communication competencies.
5.Develop strategies for active, critical, and empathic listening.
6.Recognize how words have the power to create and affect attitudes, behavior, and perception.
7.Understand how perceptions, emotions, and nonverbal expression affect interpersonal relationships.
8.Define emotional intelligence and its role in effective interpersonal relationships.
9.Evaluate appropriate levels of self-disclosure in relationships.
10.Describe strategies for managing interpersonal conflicts.
11.Recognize how self-concept and defensive and supportive messages and behaviors create positive and negative communication climates.
12.Understand the impact of gender and culture on interpersonal communications.

InterCommTeam answers:

So if you were to do number 6, you would describe how influction of the voice could effect how a person thinks you’re feeling. Like if you said Hi with your face down and kind of tired, they might assume you’re said whereas if you said it really happily, well, that’s self explanatory.

Then relate it back to your life. THere should be three facts about how this was used in something you learned in class.

It entirely depends on your perspective, if i could suggest i would first go for creative and innovation as its a type of topic where you can be unique from others if you are not a technical geek just forget that one and blindly choose upon Positive attitude. Its the best topic which suits any kind of situations you face in life, so it will be effective for your presentation
